• An Introduction (Practical)

    Good tidings,

Allow me to be frank (the adjective):

Putting a price tag on art is the antithesis of connection.

I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling a cortisol spike when finances are brought up. And yet I must live, eat, & pay taxes.

    My mission, therefore, is two-fold:

    1. Silly pixel art skits for the people to enjoy
    2. Ridiculous excellence in one-off art pieces, most likely Victorian era style art

Pairing these two together is extremely funny and satisfying for me—the passion is there. So the money will trail behind these two like a merchant escorted by adventurers from another world.

I'll continue to refine my work and my product catalogue to offer merch for #1, and high quality prints for #2 in limited quantities.

To those of you who see the potential and find satisfaction investing in it, I am honored by your trust and will setup a membership program on top of the donation section I have here already.

    Concerning commissions:

Some of you might be aware that I have done commissions for individuals and businesses before.

I will likely do away with offering commissions as a public option. A key difference between an artist and an illustrator is that the former creates to express themselves and the latter creates to satisfy the requirements of a client.

The transactional nature of being an illustrator really grinds my gears, so I only want to offer such a "service" to people I know and trust.

Ultimately, I want y'all to enjoy what I make without feeling the weight of price tags.

When I spend money, I prefer to do so from a place of cheerfulness—I want to be pleased to have spent it. So I hope to encourage you as well and I hope to receive money only when you are pleased to spend it!

    TL;DR:

    • Pixel art skit stuff gets more merch 🙂‍↕️
    • Expect to see more art prints on here that looks like they came from a museum 🖼️
    • Public commissions dropped 📉
    • Membership program under construction 🏗️

    Thanks for reading!
