In celebration of the year of the dragon, I've given a dragon sunglasses and decided to pair him with an untimely saying:
我在休息时间。(Wǒ zài xiūxí shíjiān.)
That is, "I'm eating lunch."
Does it make sense? Not at all--but that's the point! The trick is to get someone who knows Chinese to read it, become confused, and tell you that it makes no sense! In the same vein of getting a tattoo that you don't know the meaning of, you tip the scales back in your favor by deliberately wearing something nonsensical to the chagrin of those who would understand!
Let me know if you would like a different saying via social media--I can be convinced to release versions that say:
- "Stay cool": 保持冷静 (Bǎochí lěngjìng)
- "Take it easy": 别紧张 (Bié jǐnzhāng)
- "Don't disturb": 不要打扰 (Bùyào dǎrǎo)
